1. Practicum Therapist Program

Our practicum program provides masters level students with an opportunity to learn from our team, work alongside other practicum therapists and gain in-depth, rich experiences. Our goal is to provide you with numerous professional and personal learning opportunities so that when you begin your career as a counsellor, you feel supported, confident and excited.

Holistic Learning

Gain holistic learning opportunities, collaborate with practitioners, and immerse yourself in holistic therapy. Expand your skills and be part of a dedicated team focused on wellness.

Small Cohort

We accept a limited number of practicum therapists each term to ensure dedicated support for skill development. This personalized approach fosters excellence in therapeutic practices.

With flexibility in hours, this allows for a balanced work-life schedule. This flexibility ensures that practicum therapists can effectively manage their time while delivering quality care.

Experienced Supervisors

Our practicum students benefit from the guidance of seasoned therapists, with a combined 20+ years of experience in the field. This mentorship not only enriches your learning journey but also equips you with invaluable insights and skills gained through years of dedicated practice.

We offer placements to a small number of students at a time to ensure quality supervision.

We have collectively provided supervision for individuals from: Masters in Counselling Psychology (U of S); Masters in Social Work (U of R); Masters in Counselling (U of R); Masters in Counselling (Yorkville). We are available to provide supervision for individuals outside of these programs as well.

We offer placements to individuals who we deem, through an interview process, a good fit with both the assigned supervisor and our team as a whole. We also want to ensure that our clinic is able to provide the learning opportunities that are important to you.

2. Provisional Psychologist Supervision

Our experienced Registered Psychologist is able to offer primary and secondary supervision for Registered Provisional Psychologists. Whether you are just beginning the process, adding a supervisor or switching supervisors, we are happy to support your journey.

Note: Provisional supervision is currently full.

Areas of Competency

Our Registered Psychologists offer provisional supervision for both Counselling and Psychoeducational/Autism Assessment.

Priority for in-house

Priority is given to Provisional Psychologists who are seeking a contract within The Loft, as supervision can be offered in-house. This allows for increased consistency in supervision and weekly consulting.

Experienced Psychologists

Both of our Registered Psychologists have over 10 years of experience each (in fact, they did their Masters program together!). Their years of experience provides invaluable learning opportunities.

Fees

For those who accept a contract with The Loft, supervision fees are incorporated into the contract. For Provisional Psychologists working with outside agencies, our Registered Psychologists charge $200 per hour of supervision.

Are you just launching into private practice, growing your existing private practice or launching a group practice? Our founder, Sarah, now offers one-on-one individualized support to help you take the guess work out of it and to grow with confidence!

Individual consults

Have a few questions regarding starting or growing your solo or group practice? Only need an hour or two to gain some clarity or get feedback? Then this is for you - schedule solo sessions on an as needed basis.

The Deep Dive

Sarah will take a deep dive into your process and business plan, empowering you to grow with confidence. Together, you'll identify key strategies and insights tailored to your unique needs, ensuring your practice flourishes in today's competitive landscape. Find more information below.
