Position: Registered Psychologist​
Type: Independent Contractor

About the position:
​
The Loft Therapy & Wellness is seeking a Registered Psychologist for an independent contractor position. This position would include primarily individual counselling, but interest in couples and family counselling is an asset. This position offers flexibility in hours, and allows you to choose your own schedule. The majority of the work is done in-person, therefore remote applicants will not be considered at this time.

Responsibilities
-
Conduct assessments and evaluations of individuals to determine their needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
-
Provide counseling and support to individuals, families, and groups to address emotional, behavioral, and social issues
-
Collaborate with other professionals to coordinate care and ensure the best outcomes for clients
-
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and progress per The Loft Therapy & Wellness standards
-
Stay informed about community resources and refer clients to appropriate services as needed
-
Participate in inter-disciplinary meetings, peer consult team meetings, and collaborative meetings
-
Participate in ongoing professional development

Requirements
-
Masters degree in Psychology
-
Active registration in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists
-
An experienced practitioner with an established caseload or motivated to grow your caseload with the support of our team
-
Thorough understanding and adherence to your governing body’s ethical guidelines
-
Proof of liability insurance
-
Additional training in one of: Somatic Experiencing, ART, EMDR, Gottman couples therapy or similar is considered a strong asset
-
2 years of experience in a therapy setting is considered an asset
-
Experience in addressing and supporting common mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, etc.
-
Experience in a private practice setting is considered a strong asset
